Tilt-Shift Theater: ‘Little Big Berlin’

I’ve posted some stunning tilt-shift photos and videos before…but this short film is probably the most epic example I’ve seen.  It’s called ‘Little Big Berlin’, and after watching it, you’ll understand the title perfectly.

Geniesst…(that’s ‘enjoy’ in German).

While You Were Sleeping: Perseids Meteor Shower

I tried my hardest to stay awake and see some shooting stars during the Perseids meteor shower a few weeks ago…but contrary to popular belief, I’m not a spring chicken anymore and I zonked out at midnight. You Don’t Always Need A DeLorean To Time Travel

Artist Sergey Larenkov seamlessly blends vintage WWII-era photos from Berlin, Vienna, Prague, and Moscow, together with present-day images from the same locations to create compelling and often beautiful juxtapositions.  A few of my favorites:

Beat your mom to the punch and send her this photo immediately – if you don’t, you know she’ll be sending it to you as an insanely long chain-email with the subject line “God’s Smile – Forward To 15 People For Good Luck”.

You Can’t Escape The Power Of Tetris

From the Flickr group “Tetris Tetris Everywhere”, this is what happens when everyone’s favorite Russian puzzle game invades ordinary life…I can almost hear that infamous background music drilling a hole in my brain.  Beware…Tetris is coming for you.
