It’s not always about romantic bridges and pommes frites…on my last trip to Paris, it seemed like every time I turned a corner I discovered another kick-ass piece of street art. Voila:

Artist Michel de Broin has hung the world’s largest disco ball above the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris. It’s made up of over 1,000 mirrors and is part of his Nuit Blance project, which attempts to recreate the type of starry night sky usually blocked in urban areas. D’accord, dansons!
Attention US Weekly…stars are just like us! They also have to take their pet anteaters on walks and clean up their anteater-poop!!!
I stumbled on this photo a few days ago. It’s surrealist Salvador Dali taking his little anteater for a stroll in Paris…just a boring and mundane chore in Dali’s wildly bizarre life. Apparently in 1970, he brought this anteater with him on the “Dick Cavett” talk show. To everyone’s surprise, he threw it onto the lap of famous silent-film star Lillian Gish, another guest on the show. The audience loved it…Lillian Gish FREAKED OUT. A few anteater-fanatics (yes, they do exist) are trying to find the clip – if they do, I’ll post it here.
UPDATE: Anteaters are REALLY weird little animals! Maybe you already knew this fact, but I didn’t. Check out these adorable photos of the strange creatures – apparently a lot of people (not just world-famous eccentric painters) have them as pets and like to dress them up in insane outfits!
