Boring White Living Room: From Blah To Bam!

3d Projection Mapping videos have been featured here on TITAKC before – all of them involve images and videos displayed on large-scale buildings.  Now for something completely different -

I stumbled on this video created by Mr. Beam…it’s probably the most practical application of the technology I’ve seen yet – imagine being able to completely redecorate your living room with just the click of a button.  For incredibly indecisive and commitment-phobic Libras like myself, this is a dream:

3D…Without Those Nerdy Glasses

The quasi-3D effect is from a simple technology called ‘wiggle stereoscopy‘, where two almost-identical images are quickly alternated back and forth.  Remember when you were in college and you’d stare at those fuzzy pictures until you saw a 3D image?  This is essentially the same thing, except without the nauseating cross-eyed headache.
